Interesting

A movie can be good, even with just stick figures. And it can suck, even with great illustration. You don't have to have fantastic sound, special effects, acting... There's just gotta be something -- a combined effort of all parts, or just a few brilliant pieces.

At any rate, your preview seems very interesting. Need the meat to back it up of course. The story.

Two comments

Good fun, nice artwork -- I've got two comments. Firstly, did you create it -- it's great artwork, very professional. Secondly, if the message has any importance at all why not translate it to English (I'm not saying all the internet should be in English, but hey, the Portal is)?

I notice it was a commercial of some sorts, but my German's not good enough -- something about easter surprises, and what, earth-rights, and passing the card along to a friend?

Jesus would ride a bright orange Gremlin, and there'd be a sticker on the back of it, saying "BEEP BEEP, FUCKERS!"

He'd use high octane gas, cos it's a high performance vehicle. I think he'd probably do a lot of surfing, he's a surfer kinda dude. He'd smoke the herb, and listen -- and understand, and enjoy every possible form of music mankind ever created, except (obviously, your MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Brittney Spears, or whatever flash in the pan garbage out there, as we all know they made a pact with Satan, as Bill Hicks told us), and the organized religions would be shitting themselves, because Jesus would be really bad for their business.

Oh, and I think Jesus would like this movie.

Excellent

Great artwork, great humor, excellent concept. I've been wondering about doing animation, for ages. Finally started doing Flash two months ago, and it was the George Bush "Don't touch me" Brak thing that got me going.

I did a "I'm a cucumber" movie, with characters from a game I've been playing a lot -- Everquest. Did lots of others. Then, I ran into Newgrounds, and submitted my Cucumber Song.

Amongst the reviews I got, someone mentioned that Justin Sels had already done this. So, I looked around. Took me some time, but I found ya :)

Your movie owns. I'd never seen it, when I made mine. And I think mine is good in its own way. But yours is better, by far.

I see a lot of movies on the Portal, that I think of as trash, trivial, garbage, and it irks me that Newgrounds doesn't try to take a more active role in doing some quality control here. I mean, this could become a proper community of Flash animators, inspiring talented young people...

Well, sorry for being so longwinded. Your movie definitely deserves a great vote.

I'm giving it a 10.

Just for the record, I never saw yours -- or any other 'cucumber' movie before I made mine.
