[Mad World final]

Great job

If you're going to study cinematography, you don't have to worry about the artwork -- the way you cut the scenes together, and the mix of closeup shots and other scenes were very well done. Very impressive.

I do flash movies myself, and am a movie buff (and yeah, Donnie Darko is fantastic, great pick for a soundtrack btw), so I struggle a lot with trying to figure out how to put scenes together... And I have done quite a few years of landscape photography, and have drawn cartoons for years, so I have some background on it. And I've got about two dozens films here on Newgrounds, but your cinematography is still better...

I love Carl Orf's piece, but I hate how it is used to dramatize every damn thing in the world. It was only every used in EXCALIBUR, properly -- all other movies abused it, and trivialized it.

I might have said the same about your animation, but I know you are an enthusiastic amateur just like me, so to be honest, I thought it was really good, as far as style goes. A dramatic, slow-action shoot-out with that piece of music is really excellent.

Only thing you REALLY gotta sort out, is -- you got whole cartridges flying there, buddy. There is NO excuse for that at all, even if you are an amateur. If you are going to portray gunfire, you should know how that stuff works. You got the slides on the guns working properly (and it looks good, btw), so to get that wrong is bad.

That aside, really nice, dude. Cigarette smoking, ashes, slow-motion stuff, classic work, it really is. It makes me think of REAL movies, you know?

Maybe if us Flash animators got our shiet together, we'd be the next Tarrentino? :)

Very nice graphics and animation! The way the background scrolled, the clouds changed shape, the shadows on the ground, the animation of the bird flying, really really nicely done!! Great job!

The Reason

Nice graphics, and good background sound.
Not to piss in anyone's cheerios, but the reason why there's braille on the drivethrough ATMS, is just because the normal ATMs have it. Blind people can use normal ATMs. Assembeling, and storing two different models, with and without braille would be less cost efficient. Just keeping a stock of one single model of ATMs is easier. That's all.

i figured that it was cost efficientct to do it that way, but we live in a world where a person can get sued for looking at someone wrong. you would think they'd go the extra 5 cents to take the braile buttons off of the machines. :) -thanks for your comment-

Great job

- Hey, great movie, very nice effort, very funny.
- Newgrounds is a great idea, excellent place for amateur Flash movie makers to submit their stuff. However the downside is, this joint is infected with prepubescent brats with nothing better to do, than flame people's submissions.
- Don't pay any damn attention to those little turds: 99% of them don't have the linguistic skills, let alone imagination to write an even halfway interesting flame. And none of them have the wits it takes to recognize something good, when they see it.
- Great stuff, keep it up!

Heheh, hell yeah

When I saw the author's comments, I thought "Oh great, a whiner..."

But the reviewers all seemed to have gotten a feather up their ass about this movie, so I had to watch it. And of COURSE the damn thing is a joke, or at the most, a release of frustration. It's not a death threat. I kinda liked it. I'm not saying I've felt like that, from garbage reivews here on the portal, mind you. I accept that the Portal, by its very nature, will always have this problem with kids who get a kick out of writing reviews that trashes submissions, no matter what their content.

The only clueless dweebs who'd feel threaten by this, are the very kids who like to hang out at the Portal and flame people with their "reviews". Kids who call people faggots, bitches, and talk about "your slutty momma".

These are just sad little kids who don't make Flash animations themselves, and wont ever understand that it takes a thousand times more work, effort, creativity, and intellect, to create even a GARBAGE animation that DOES deserve a 0 vote, than it takes to write a trash review.

I'm giving this a 10, just to make up for the dweebs' votes. Don't let them get you down.
